Welcome to Aedeen Clare Psychotherapy.
I began my journey to become a psychotherapist in 2020. I have always had a keen interest in mental health and a passion for supporting clients to feel empowered in their choices.
Starting therapy and asking for help can be challenging, and I understand the courage it takes to reach out. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about psychotherapy, please don’t hesitate to contact me.
My Background
I previously worked in the early years sector and during this time I learned just how important our early attachments and relationships are. How these shape our ways of thinking about the world and about ourselves as adults. This drew me to continue my studies and train as a psychotherapist to work with adults.
I hold an MA in Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy with Tivoli Institute, validated by South East Technological University (SETU), and I am a pre-accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP). I adhere strictly to the IACP code of ethics and practice. I have worked with clients (18+) in SOSAD Drogheda for the past three years as a student therapist and I continue to do so now as a graduate.

Workspace
I provide both online and in-person sessions from NEST, Ardee, County Louth. There is ample free parking and it is conveniently located close to the M1 motorway and the N2, making it easily accessible for clients travelling from surrounding areas or nearby towns such as Drogheda, Dundalk, and Navan.
Therapy Approaches
As part of my studies and practice, I have trained in humanistic and integrative approaches, incorporating elements of gestalt therapy, psychosynthesis, and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). My experience and training taught me the importance of the therapeutic relationship, with all the work we do in our sessions centered around this connection. I tailor my work and approaches to best suit the needs of each of my clients.

To create change, we must first understand, accept and embrace who we are. We all carry our own answers, and my role as therapist is to provide an empathic, safe, and supportive space to work with clients in exploring what is happening for them.
I work one on one with adult clients who present with a range of issues such as:

-
Anxiety
-
Depression
-
Trauma
-

-
Relationship Issues
-
Suicidal Ideation

If you are experiencing any of the above or other issues and feel I may be the right fit for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me.
